When combined into one, Squirrel Hill is bordered by Shadyside to the north Point Breeze, Regent Square, and Swisshelm Park to the east Glen Hazel to the south and Hazelwood, Greenfield, and Oakland to the west. As a single entity, Squirrel Hill accounts for a significant chunk of eastern Pittsburgh, covering nearly four square miles.
